COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears perfect start halted at UT-Southern in MSC loss

The University of Pikeville men’s basketball Bears saw their eight-game winning streak end as Tennessee Southern hit a free throw in the final seconds to score a 63-62 win in Pulaski, Tenn., on Saturday.

UPIKE, now 8-1, dropped their first Mid-South Conference game and set at 3-1.

Taevon Horton finished with 16 points and Kenyon Duling followed with 10. Korbin Spencer, Maurice Dickson, and Kevin Bishop II added eight apiece.

The Bears will host Kentucky Christian (3-8) at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Wednesday. Tipoff is 6 pm
