FLOYD COUNTY, KY.–Yesterday we told you about a shooting incident that occurred in Prater Creek Monday evening when an unknown vehicle drove past a home firing at least 5 rounds, three of which penetrated the house.

Close to midnight Tuesday, another drive-by shooting happened less than a mile from Monday’s shooting. Kentucky State Police received a call that shots had been heard  outside the callers house and another person in the home had gone out to follow the vehicle involved.

The victims of Tuesday’s shooting say they heard six to seven shots fired and their home and two of their vehicles were hit.

Officials with KSP Post 9 say they believe the two shootings are related.

“They are close to the same area, the time frame is very close, and we think there could be a connection at this time. Trooper Coleman is working the one from last night and he has interviewed a couple of people and has a couple of solid leads, also I think there is some video floating around that I think the Sheriff’s Office has and we are going to be sharing that information later on today which will possibly give us more leads into the case.”
