Frankfort, KY — Governor Matt Bevin has made more appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions including a local physician. Dr. Bill A. Webb, of Pikeville, has been appointed as a member of the State Board of Medical Licensure. He will represent the Kentucky Osteopathic Medical association and serve for a term expiring August 31, 2023. The State Board of Medical Licensure ensures that only qualified medical and osteopathic physicians are licensed and initiates appropriate disciplinary action in response to violations of the Medical Practice Act. The Board also regulates the practice of Physician Assistants, Surgical Assistants, Athletic Trainers and Acupuncturist in the Commonwealth.
