Pikeville, KY — Pikeville City Police, responding to a complaint at Pikeville Medical Center 9th floor clinic arrested a Pikeville man but found more than what was expected. According to the arrest citation, 29-year-old James Slone was initially arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. In a search of Slone and his belongings, officers found crystal like substance believed to be meth, digital scales, several empty small bags, four syringes and six spoons. Also found was four $50.00 bills and two $100.00 bills all of which were counterfeit, and a set of brass knuckles. Slone was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, meth, possession of controlled substance, meth, drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and criminal possession of forged instruments. Slone remains lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
