Martin County, Ky: The Martin County Sheriff’s Office was also busy responding to a drug complaint over the weekend. The department received an anonymous tip regarding a couple manufacturing meth at their Tomahawk residence. The caller said he had taken 47-year-old Andrew Wells and 42-year-old Paula Wells to a store, where they bought items used to make meth. When deputies arrived, Andrew Wells refused to give them permission to search, but one deputy spotted a syringe believed to contain meth. Deputies then used that information to obtain a search warrant. During their search, the deputies found batteries, drain cleaner, Sudafed and other items used in the production of meth, as well as a syringe loaded with what is believed to be the finished product. The couple was taken into custody and charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth precursors, and possession of meth.
