Perry County, KY — A two-vehicle crash in Perry County has resulted in two deaths. According to Kentucky State Police Post 13 Hazard, Troopers responded to the scene on KY 15 near the junction of KY 28 Tuesday morning. The initial investigation indicates that a Chevrolet S-10, driven by 34-year-old Robert Robinson of Hazard, was traveling north on KY 15 when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet Avalanche driven by 62-year-old Jeanie Gayheart of Hazard. Gayheart was transported to Hazard ARH where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Robinson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers report that seat belts were not in used by either driver. No autopsies will be performed, and toxicology results are pending.
