PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A death investigation is underway tonight at the Floyd County Detention Center.

Police confirm to EKB News that an inmate died this afternoon, and they are investigating the possibility it was the result of a fight, but that has not been confirmed at this time.

Officials are currently at the jail conducting an investigation. No identities have been released.
