Paintsville, KY — A death investigation is underway in Johnson County. According to Kentucky State Police at the Pikeville Post, the investigation was opened after a body was discovered in a pond on the Paintsville golf course. Johnson County authorities requested Kentucky State Police assistance after the body was discovered and was removed by the Johnson County Coroner’s office. The body was taken to the State Medical Examiners Office in Frankfort for autopsy to be conducted Monday. No other information was released at this time as Post 9 Detectives continue to investigate.
