SITKA, Ky. — A Lawrence County woman is in jail, following a traffic stop yesterday in Johnson County.

Sheriff’s deputies encountered the woman while conducting a roadblock on Route 201 and immediately determined she was driving under the influence, possibly of meth.
After she was arrested, the deputies asked several times if there were any needles in the car and were told there were not. But when they searched the car, they found an uncapped needle inside a compartment, facing outward where it could have stuck the officer if he had not seen it first.
The deputies also found more needles and a light bulb that had been converted into a meth pipe.
Rebecca Clark, 38, of Louisa, was booked in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on charges of DUI, menacing and numerous traffic violations.
