Emergency Road Aid Funds Announced For Slide Repairs In Letcher County

Whitesburg, KY — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced that $100,00.00 in Rural Secondary Road Aid emergency funds will be used for slide repairs at two locations in the city limits of Whitesburg. The first is on Bass Road (CR 1102). The second is on Jenkins Road (CR 1107). The city is responsible for all phases of the work; a check will be issued directly to the City of Whitesburg. In addition, $37,200.00 in County Road Aid Emergency Funds has been awarded for slide repair on Yonts Fork (CR 1065), located north of KY 317. The Letcher County Fiscal Court is responsible for all phases of the Yonts Fork work; a check will be issued directly to the county from County Road Aid Emergency Funds.
