Recruits Report To KSP Training

Frankfort, KY — Kentucky State Police Cadet Class 98 reported for training in Frankfort Sunday, May 12th. For the next 25 weeks, the cadets will complete more than 1,000 hours of classroom and field study that includes: constitutional law, use of force, weapons training, first aid, high speed vehicle pursuit, drug identification, crash investigation, domestic violence among many other areas. This class began with 74 cadets and within hours the class is now down to 72 cadets. The training is both mentally and physically challenging and historically at least 35 percent of the cadets do not finish the program. The class is tentatively scheduled to graduate on October 25, 2019.
