Chapmanville, WV — A traffic-stop for an expired motor vehicle inspection sticker resulted in felony drug arrests. Two Officers with the Chapmanville, West Virginia Police Department stopped the vehicle and they were given consent to search the vehicle by the driver. The passengers in the vehicle were found to have a small bag containing a crystal substance believed to be meth, a folded paper receipt containing marijuana and a small bag containing suboxone. Mark Smith was charged with possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of marijuana. Lacosta Johnson was charged with possession of controlled substance. Both were lodged in the Southwest Regional Jail. Smith was given a $100,000.00 bond and Johnson was given a $3,500.00 bond.
