Pikeville, KY — Kentucky State Police, Post 9 Pikeville investigating a fatal Pike County crash. According to authorities, the crash involving two vehicles occurred just before 1:30 Saturday afternoon just south of the Pikeville City limits. The preliminary investigation by Troopers indicate a vehicle was traveling south on U.S. 23 when the driver attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a northbound vehicle. Due to injuries sustained in the collision, the driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at Pikeville Medical Center. The name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. No charges have been made at this time pending toxicology results.
