“Fit Kits” available by curbside pickup for Pikeville YMCA members

The Pikeville Area Family YMCA is now providing its members with an alternative of working out in their facility with “fit kits”.

According to a release from the YMCA, they have designed several “Fit Kits” that are available for curbside pickup to members only to support individuals during these challenging times. Kits are first come, first serve (via email request) and may be borrowed for 7 days at a time.

The two options to choose from are the Strength Kit or Cardio Kit.

Strength Kits include: Resistance Band, (2) 5lb Dumbbells, 12lb Weighted Bar, 15lb Kettlebell

Cardio Kits include: Resistance Band, Jump rope, (2) 4lb dumbbells, Aerobic Step, (2) risers

Pickups are scheduled to begin Thursday, April 23rd at 9:00 am. To reserve a Fit Kit, please email cliftonh@pikevilleymca.org.

You will be sent an agreement form to complete and return in order to secure a kit. Once the agreement is signed and your account is verified to be in good standing, a pickup time will be scheduled for you via email.

Pickups will take place through the emergency exit of the basketball gym at your scheduled time and call 606-433-9622 when you arrive.

An employee of the YMCA will open the door to allow you to come in and pick up your reserved kit.

Kits are currently sanitized and will be sanitized upon return by the YMCA and they do ask that members sanitize all pieces of the kit before returning for the safety of their employees.

There currently are 20 Fit Kits to borrow out and once 20 are reserved, you will be placed on a waiting list.
