PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A former Johnson County teacher has pleaded guilty to a charge of trying to solicit a minor.

Kevin B. Conley, of East Point, a former social studies, geography and radio broadcast journalism teacher at Johnson Central High School, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of using an electronic device to procure a minor for sex.

He pleaded guilty on the day he was scheduled to go on trial.

Conley will be facing 1-to-5 years in prison when he is sentenced July 24.
