More than 1,000 faculty and staff of the Floyd County School district partied like rock stars Monday morning at the Mountain Arts Center. The district held its annual back to school assembly, which was themed, “Be your own kind of rock star!” The environment at the MAC resembled a pep rally, as everyone prepared to welcome students back to school.  The first day of classes for students in Floyd, Johnson and Martin Counties is Wednesday, August 7th.
