BANNER, Ky. — A Floyd County man was arrested Monday evening, after police say he broadcast his threats and attempts to elude deputies during a chase.

Deputies went to the Crum Branch home of Benjamin Davis, 41, after a neighbor complained that Davis had been stealing power from him and damaged his home in the process. As officers approached his home, they say he got in his car and fled onto an old strip mine road.
While he was fleeing, he broadcast a live video on Facebook, during which he can be heard threatening to kill someone. Several other posts talk about people trying to kill him and his intention to stand his ground.
The deputies lost him during that chase, but went back a short time later, only to get involved in another chase on the same strip mine road. This time, the deputies took their vehicles as far as they could and then pursued on foot, finally catching up to Davis’ vehicle stopped at the mine.
The police report says Davis attempted to put the car in gear to flee again, but they were able to pull him out of the car before he could get away.
Davis was arrested on the original theft of services and criminal mischief charges, as well as fleeing police, wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and terroristic threatening.
