Former rescue squad member charged with fraud

FLOYD COUNTY, KY.–A former member of the Floyd County Rescue Squad was arrested last week for allegedly using a rescue squad credit card that was reported stolen.

According to the arrest warrant 20-year old Jacob Carpenter used the stolen credit card several times between February 2nd and February 3rd at several locations including Speedway gas station for $299.56, Jenny Wiley Liquors for $54.91, and Marathon Gas Station for $36.01 for a total of $390.48.

Carpenter was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card under 500 dollars which is a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 12-months in jail. He has since been released on bond.
