Four other people were arrested Thursday along with John Russell Hall, the man accused of murdering Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton..
A look at court documents filed in the Pike Circuit Clerk’s Office not only identifies those people, but also details their alleged role in the events following Scotty Hamilton’s death.
The four arrested were identified as 39-year-old Michael Slone, of Lexington; 53-year-old Gregory Slone, of Stoney Brooke Drive in Pike County; 37-year-old Amanda Dotson, of Right Fork of Island Creek near Pikeville; and 44-year-old Jeanne Blackburn of Harold. According to court documents, the four knowingly assisted in the transportation and concealment of John Hall following the shooting of Officer Hamilton.
Court documents said Hall contacted Amanda Dotson and Michael Slone and requested transportation, and the two of then picked Hall up, using Dotson’s vehicle. The pair then allegedly transported Hall to the residence of Greg Slone, where Hall was eventually captured by police.
Court documents said Jeanne Blackburn was present at Slone’s residence when Hall was transported there, and knew that Hall was wanted by police in relation to the death of Scotty Hamilton.
All four face class D felony charges of first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, remain lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
