Four new COVID-19 cases reported in Mingo County

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Health Department is reporting several new cases of COVID-19.

According to a statement from the health department, four people are the county’s latest COVID-19 patients. Among the new cases are a husband and wife, 47 and symptomatic and 45 and asymptomatic, respectively. Also confirmed as positive for COVID-19 were a 59-year-old symptomatic female and a 21-year-old asymptomatic female.

All four patients are isolating at home and they make up the county’s 23rd through 26th COVID-19 patients.

According to the health department, a total of 1,855 COVID-19 tests had been administered in Mingo County as of 1 p.m. Thursday, the day the four new cases were confirmed. A total of eight COVID-19 cases remain active in Mingo County, the health department says.
