PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The four people who pleaded guilty to hiding the man accused of killing Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton in March were sentenced for their roles in the crime Thursday afternoon. Amanda Dotson, Jeanne Blackburn, Michael Slone, and Gregory Slone admitted to helping John Russell Hall escape law enforcement after allegedly murdering Officer Scotty Hamilton. Dotson, Michael Slone and Gregory Slone were sentenced to four years in prison. Those three individuals are accused of providing transportation and hiding Hall. Jeanne Blackburn was sentenced to two years probation for playing a lesser role in the crime. Alleged shooter John Russell Hall also appeared in court for a pretrial hearing. Several members of the Pikeville Police Department attended Thursday’s hearing, as did a few members of Officer Hamilton’s family. Everyone in attendance agreed it was nice to get some closure in part of the case on what would have been Scotty Hamilton’s 36th birthday.
