Grieving family keeps Pike County teen’s memory alive by encouraging bone marrow donation

As school started back last week in Pike County, the family of Shalei Cobb had to face the first day of school without her.  Shalei lost her life July 24th after a nine month battle with Leukemia.  Shalei needed a bone marrow transplant, but a match was not found in time.  But, despite their loss, the Cobbs continue to be advocates for bone marrow donation, with the hope they can spare another family the loss they will feel the rest of their lives.  For more information about bone marrow donation, go to bethematch.org.
