PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Both suspects in a federal gun and drug case are now in custody.
Back in May, federal prosecutors obtained an indictment against 37-year-old Justin Ray Slone, of Garner, and 35-year-old Brandy Watts, of London. They are each charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of oxycodone with the intent to distribute.
They were allegedly discovered with the drugs and six firearms in Knott County back in January.
Watts was arraigned on the charges in August, but Slone was not taken into custody until last week. Both have now pleaded not guilty to the charges.
They are set to go on trial Jan. 29.
