One Democrat has decided not to seek re-election to the Kentucky General Assembly. 93rd District State Representative Chris Harris has released a statement which said that “After a great deal of prayer and discussion with my family, I have made the difficult decision not to seek re-election as State Representative.” The statement went on to say that “serving in this capacity over the past 6 years has been the honor of a lifetime.” Harris was first elected in 2014 and represented the 93rd District which covers Martin and a portion of Pike counties.
