There was no looking ahead to Lawrence County’s big district clash with Belfry this week on the road.
The Bulldogs took care of business with a 42-6 win over Pike County Central at the Hawks Nest on Friday night.
Nick Collinsworth returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to set the tone as the Bulldogs improved to 6-1. He also had a 49-yard touchdown reception.
Quarterback Alex Strickland passed for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The other was an 80-yard catch and run by Kaden Gillispie.
Running back Dylan Ferguson rushed for 114 yards and two scores.
Pike Central’s only points came on a 12-yard TD run by Matt Anderson, who finished with 79 yards on 22 carries. Quarterback Tayvian Boykins led the Hawks with 94yards on 19 carries.
