Mingo Central quarterback Daylin Goad was among several area players to receive honorable mention for Class AA from the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.

He was one of two Miners honored in a season which saw COVID 19 limit playing time for many schools across the state. He was joined by teammate Isa Scales.

Five members of Logan’s team were honored. They included Caden Dotson, Aiden Slack, Corey Townsend, Cameron Hensley and Jordan Hayes.

Chapmanville landed Josh Atwood.
