Defending 15th Region champion Prestonsburg is headed back to the state tournament following a 5-1 victory over Lawrence County in a match played at Johnson Central’s Eagle Field.
Lauren Johnson and Kadynce Hackworth scored a pair of goals each as the Lady Blackcats improved to 13-3. Anna Burchett added one goal and one assist.
Chloe Collins assisted on two goals and Shae Robinson added one.
Goalkeeper Alivia Slone finished with six saves while allowing just a single goal to Lawrence County’s Brylee Blair off an assist from Ellie Webb.
Alyssa Moore had eight saves in goal and Camran Diamond added four as the Lady Bulldogs season ended at 11-3-1.
Prestonsburg will play at North Laurel at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
