Hotline Opened To Report Price Gouging

Frankfort, KY. — With the recent flooding in the region, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear has activated the Kentucky price gouging hotline. Governor Matt Bevin issued a statewide emergency declaration following the flooding event that occurred this past weekend across southern and eastern Kentucky. Kentucky state law states that retailers and private citizens may not sell certain essential goods and services for more than ten percent above the normal price for fifteen days following a declaration of a state of emergency. This includes medical supplies, fuel, food and housing. If you suspect price gouging, you can call the hotline at 1-888-432-9257.
