Investigation Leads To Arrests

Knott County, KY — An investigation by the Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement has led to arrests in the Talcum community of Knott County. The investigation lead to the execution of a search warrant and traffic stop that resulted in a large quantity of illegal drugs being found including 2 ounces suspected meth, 1 gram of suspected Heroin, 66 ½ Oxycodone Pills, 6 Suboxone, 3 Neurontin pills, 137 other legend drugs and Counterfeit Currency. Arrested was 31-year-old Racheal A. Perry of Hindman, Kentucky for various traffic violations and numerous drug charges, 39-year-old Derrick R. Shepherd of Fisty, Kentucky for various drug charges, giving an Officer false name and tampering with physical evidence. Both were lodged in the Perry County Detention Center.
