The investors hoping to locate a casino and resort in the City of Jenkins is asking for the public’s input on the plans … particularly how it could affect area schools.

Members of the Raven Rock Enterprises investor group will host a Facebook Live forum next week where members of the group and administrators from area school district will accept questions about the casino and resort project from those who stream the event. James Hibbitts, with Raven Rock Enterprises, said expanded gaming could be the solution to solving Kentucky’s ongoing financial difficulties.

Hibbitts also added that locating a casino and resort in Jenkins would likely benefit both Jenkins Independent Schools and Letcher County Schools, and could help increase enrollment in those school districts.
