PIKEVILLE, Ky, – Saturday morning, runners of all ages will be lacing up their shoes for one of Pikeville’s most popular 5K’s. The 12th Annual Run with Courage 5K to benefit Judi’s Place for Kids will start promptly at 9am, sending hundreds of runners and walkers on the 3.1 mile course around Pikeville. Officials at Judi’s Place For Kids say the annual 5K is their largest fundraiser of the year, bringing in a portion of the $140,000 dollars it takes to operate each year, providing much needed services to child victims of physical and sexual abuse in eastern Kentucky. On site registration will open at 7am Saturday, and the 5K will begin at 9. Finisher medals will be given to everyone who crosses the finish line.
