A Kentucky State Trooper was shot and another person fatally injured after an altercation Monday night in Perry County.  State Police officials out of Post 13 in Hazard say the shooting occurred near a residence where Troopers were executing a search warrant.  The Trooper was shot in the leg and transported to a local hospital where he was kept overnight and then released Tuesday afternoon.  The names of the Trooper and the suspect who died at the scene will be released once the preliminary investigation is complete.
