Earlier this week, Kentucky State Trooper William Petry addressed the student body at Pikeville High School about the drug addiction crisis in eastern Kentucky. He discussed the Angel Initiative, a relatively new program where anyone wanting help with his or her addiction can get it by simply walking into any State Police post and asking.  Trooper Petry says this is a welcomed program for troopers, who previously had no way to offer immediate help to anyone struggling with addiction.
