Frankfort, KY — Kentucky’s statewide unemployment numbers have been released. Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary September 2019 unemployment rate was 4.4 percent, that according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, an agency within the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The unemployment rate for September was unchanged from the 4.4 percent reported for August 2019. The national seasonally adjusted jobless rate for September was 3.5 percent down 0.2 percentage points from August 2019, that according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
