PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Lawrence County man was arrested in Paintsville over the weekend, after police found a variety of drugs in his car during a traffic stop.

A Paintsville Police officer pulled over Douglas Paul Baker, 44, of Lowmansville, just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday, after noticing his registration was expired and he had no light over his license plate. After Baker failed a field sobriety test, the officer then found a black bag in the passenger seat which contained meth, heroin and fentanyl.

Baker was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, heroin and fentanyl and a number of other charges. He is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville on 10-thousand dollar cash bond.
