Man Arrested Fleeing Scene Of Crash

Logan County, WV — Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Wilkinson man after he fled the scene of a crash. According to a press release, Deputies responded to the crash on Jerry West Highway in front of a Speedway store. The driver of a 2008 Toyota Tacoma was attempting to turn onto Arbor Road when they were struck from the rear by a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by 24-year-old Tre Daniel Dobbins. After hitting the Toyota, Dobbins ran from the scene. Deputies spoke to witnesses who gave direction of travel for Dobbins who was on foot. The driver and a passenger in the Toyota were taken to Logan Regional Hospital for treatment. Dobbins was located a short time later hiding at his grand-parent’s house and was placed under arrest. He was charged with Violation of a Domestic Violence Petition, Driving on suspended operators license and Hit and Run, Leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. He was processed and arraigned in Logan County Magistrate Court and released on bond.
