UDPATE: Earlier Wednesday afternoon, the Martin County Sheriff’s office issued a Golden Alert for Gabe Lowe. That alert has been cancelled. Mr. Lowe was located in Estill County. Martin County Sheriff John Kirk and family members are on their way to him now.

Sheriff Kirk would like to thank the community for spreading the word and helping find Mr. Lowe.

MEATHOUSE, Ky. — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.

Gabe Dewey Lowe, 73, was last seen this morning around 8:30 driving a 2014 blue Ford Escape. According to police, he was supposed to be at a funeral and did not show up.

Lowe is believed to have some dementia-type issues.
