Jenkins superintendent says pension plan will hurt district

pensionLast week, Governor Matt Bevin announced his plans to change Kentucky’s state pension and retirement plan to a 401K-based plan for new hires. The plan has drawn criticism from many who believe the plan would force many teachers to retire early in order to maintain their full pension, and school districts are fearful that will result in mass shortages of educators. But, as EKB News Reporter Chris Anderson explains, one local administrator said teachers shortages are just one of the potential problems.
