A Pike County man who allegedly robbed two people at knifepoint last week has been indicted on a felony robbery charge.
23-year-old Austin Douglas Slone, of Elkhorn City, is accused of using a knife to rob two people at the Elwood Heights Apartments in Elkhorn City on November 25. The joint Kentucky State Police-Elkhorn City Police investigation led officers to an apartment where they allegedly overheard Slone through a partially-opened door admitting to the robbery and detailing the crime.
Slone’s alleged robbery was one of several that have recently occurred in Pike County.
Austin Slone remains lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted on the first-degree robbery charge he currently faces.
