LINEFORK, Ky. — One man is dead following a crash Monday afternoon in Letcher County.

It happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Defeated Creek Road, at Linefork. Kentucky State Police says Terry C. Combs, 58, of Linefork, failed to negotiate a curve and overturned over an embankment, partially ejecting him from his truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Combs was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
