Meth and guns found in hotel room

“We proceeded to search the whole room and after a while found more crystal meth and a couple of firearms.”

FLOYD COUNTY, KY.-Tuesday morning the Prestonsburg Police Department responded to a call from the Quality Inn of someone possibly using a stolen credit card to purchase a room. Once officers located the room they found two male subjects and a female inside, but that was not all,  drug paraphernalia was in plain view and that is when the incident turned into a drug investigation.

“They questioned all three people and none of them would take credit for the drugs. We proceeded to search the whole room and after a while found more crystal meth and a couple of firearms. The two males were convicted felons. They were arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance and the firearms charges.”

Twenty-five year old Richard Mullins, twenty-five year old Selina Lawrence and forty year old Steven Stephens was arrested and taken to the Floyd County Detention Center. The investigation into the fraudulent use of a credit card is ongoing.
