Paintsville, KY — In an effort to combat drug activity in the Paintsville City Park, Paintsville Police Officers Zach Stapleton and Jeremy Shepherd arrested a Paintsville man Wednesday morning. According to the Officers, they spotted Christopher D. Hall in the park at 2:00 AM sitting alone. Upon investigation, the Officers found Hall to be under the influence of meth and asked Hall if he had any drugs on him. As Hall was emptying his pockets, the Officers noticed he was attempting to hide an empty cigarette pack. Officer Stapleton looked in the pack and found 3.8 grams of apparent meth. Hall was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication by a controlled substance and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Assisting in the arrest was Johnson County Sheriff Deputies JP Primm and Lauren O’Bryan.
