Four years after 800 former clients of Eric C. Conn had their Social Security benefits stripped away, nearly 300 of them could soon see their benefits restored, thanks to a series of recent victories in federal court. Prestonsburg attorney Ned Pillersdorf held a meeting Tuesday evening in Pikeville to update Conn’s former clients on the recent court decisions. Pillersdorf told those gathered that the SSA should be sending out checks soon. Pike County Judge Executive Ray Jones, who is also an attorney, addressed the group, stressing the importance of protecting any money they receive. Pillersdorf also stressed to anyone who was stripped of their benefits to make sure the Social Security Administration has their current address in the event checks are, in fact, distributed soon.
