Mingo reports sixth COVID-19 case

The Mingo County Health Department is reporting the county’s sixth confirmed case of COVID-19.

In a statement issued Thursday, the health department said a 59-year-old female who exhibited symptoms of the virus had tested positive and was isolating at home. The health department says it is working to notify all those who may have had close contact with the patient.

The case is the sixth in Mingo County, which has seen 865 people tested. The county also has two probable COVID-19 cases. Of the six confirmed cases, five of the patients have recovered and one died as a result of the virus, the health department says.
