Pikeville, KY — BREAKING NEWS : Five medical professionals from Pike and Floyd Counties have been charged in connection with several healthcare fraud and/or controlled substance schemes. These are part of a multi-state investigation conducted by the Appalachian Regional Prescription Opioid Strike Force.
The following were either arrested Wednesday morning or appeared in US District Court in Pikeville. ALL are facing federal charges.
– Sai P. Gutti, M.D. (Pikeville)
– Scotty R. Akers, M.D. (Pikeville)
– Serissa L. Collier aka Serissa Stamper (Pikeville)
– Mohammed A.H. Mazumder, M.D. (Prestonsburg)
– Denver D. Tackett, DMD (McDowell)
