Needle exchange seeing positive results

 

“We have given out 25,658 needles and we have got in 19,593 which is a 77% return rate and that is pretty great.”

FLOYD COUNTY, KY.-Although it can generate controversy, needle-exchange programs are one tool increasingly being used in Eastern Kentucky to combat the potential health dangers of drug use. Now, one community is beginning to see measurable results. EKB News Reporter Shawn Allen tells us what they’re learning.
