Even though the presidential election is two years away, one local politician says he is in for the 2020 Race for the White House.

Richard Ojeda announced today that he plans to run for the Democratic Party’s nomination in 2020. Ojeda, who is a West Virginia State Senator from Logan, filed with the Federal Election Commission Sunday.

He unsuccessfully ran for West Virginia’s 3rd Congressional District losing last week to Republican Carol Miller 56 percent to 44 percent.
