It is going to be a busy weekend across our region with several events taking place.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and several events are going on over the next three weeks to honor those who have fought and those who have battled the disease. Paint Pikeville Pink is one of those events taking place Saturday in Pikeville. Registration begin at 7 Saturday morning at the Garfield House with the race beginning at 9. 

650 Runners have already sign up for this years race and organizers expect two or three hundred others to register Saturday morning.
