This week, the second phase of a cleanup effort at Fishtrap Lake got underway, part of a collaborative effort between the Pike County Fiscal Court and the US Army Corps of Engineers. The work is being funded mainly through grants obtained by Pike County officials, and everyone involved says the effort has paid off. US Army Corps of Engineers officials at Fishtrap Lake say for the first time in several years, the compliments are outnumbering the complaints concerning the condition of the lake around the dam and marina area.
