Police: man attempts to conceal drugs on a juvenile

jailedRoyalton, Ky.–It happened in Royalton when Magoffin County Deputies stopped a 2006 Chrysler Sebring for not having tail lights.

The driver, 40-year old Jason Nickels of Salyersville told officers that he shot up suboxone and meth and would be dirty if given a drug test.

A juvenile passenger was found to be in possession of a small blue bag that appeared to be meth. He told officers that Nickels gave him the bag of meth to hold before being pulled over.

Nickels was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, unlawful transaction with a minor and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
